The dove tattoos symbol of peace and goddess of Babylon
The dove tattoo is often associated with the Mother Goddess, or Queen of Heaven. Throughout the ancient Middle East and Mediterranean, the fertility goddess, the mother and nourisher, was accompanied by doves. The dove was revered by the Semitic fertility goddess Astarte and it symbolized the Babylonian goddess, Semiramis .
